EGGNOG beverages

The main ingredients of beverages of eggnog type are fresh raw eggs and milk or cream. Eggnog first appeared in Scotland and in translation from the Scotch means egg ale. Cooled ingredients are well beaten up to uniform foamy structure of the beverage.

  • Chocolate eggnog: 2-3 eggs, 200 grams of milk, 120 grams of ice-cream, 100 ml of chocolate syrup.
  • Raspberry eggnog: 2-3 eggs, 100 ml of ice-cream, 80-100 ml of raspberry syrup, 200 ml of cream, food ice.
  • Hot honey eggnog: 2-3 eggs, 300 ml of warm milk, 100-120 grams of honey.
  • Berry eggnog: 2 eggs, 150 g of berry puree (mashed berries), 100 grams of ice-cream..
 

FLIPS

To prepare a flip use an egg yolk mashed with sugar, various syrups and juices. Ingredients of the drink are cooled in advance and beaten up in the mixer or manually. The ready beverage in the glass sprinkle with ground species, like cinnamon, cloves, ground coffee, cocoa or chocolate powder.

  • Children’s flip: Per 1glass: 1 egg, 20 ml of sugar syrup, 200 ml of grape juice.
  • Honey flip: yolk of two eggs, 350 ml of milk, 100 grams of honey, 80 ml of cream.
  • Coffee and cream flip: 6 yolks or 3 eggs, 100 ml of coffee syrup, 200 ml of cream, 100 ml of cold black coffee.
  • Flip with cheese: 3 eggs, 200 grams of grated cheese, 200 ml of tomato juice, salt and pepper according to taste.
  • Lemon flip: juice of one lemon, one yolk, a coffeespoon of sugar, ice. Thoroughly mix ingredients in the mixer.
 

EGG LEMONADE

1 egg, juice of one lemon, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 100 grams of water, ice. Mix the ingredients in the mixer until foam appears and pour into a tall glass.

 

KASTERD

This English drink consists of one liter of strong tea, 1 glass of cream and 4-5 yolks beaten up with cream and poured in freshly brewed tea.

 

EGG-FLIP

Break fresh hen’s eggs and separate yolks from whites. Beat up yolks until thick mass of lemon color is formed, and beat up whites until thick foam is formed. Put a pinch of salt in beaten up yolks and, keeping on beating up, add some sugar and juice. Keep on stirring and add cold milk and cold boiled water. Mix it. Pour prepared mixture into beaten up whites

Per 4-5 portions – 1/2 glass of juice, 2 eggs, 3 tablespoons of sugar, 2 glasses of cold milk, 1/2 glass of cold boiled water, a pinch of salt.
